Wait, Wait, Wait

But why wait?

Humans have a tendency to freeze when they’re afraid.

Especially when it comes to business.

For me it manifests in what I call “research mode” (i.e. productive procrastination).

Spending so much time learning that I never start working.

Sound familiar? I touched on this yesterday. I’m exploring these ideas just as much for myself as for you—I need the repetition.

What Works founder Tara Gentile explains it like this:

“[You] wait to get started. [You] wait until [you] have more information, more experience, more, more money, and a more perfect version of whatever [you] have created.”

(She uses “they” here but I wanted it to feel more personal with “you.”)

But where does that really get you?

“All that waiting means [you’re] not really learning,” she continues.

The answer is nowhere.

Don’t wait, wait, wait.

Do, do, do so you learn, learn, learn.
