Socks and Shoes
Happy Monday,
Hope you didn’t miss me too much last week.
A day of on the 4th was planned but a day off on the 5th was not.
I had some domain/email issues to get sorted out.
Thankfully it’s been resolved—user error on my end. 🙄
Socks and Shoes
What’s the best way to understand your customers?
“It’s all about putting yourself in your customer’s shoes,” says Target CEO Brian Cornell.
His “socks and shoes” approach has been pivotal to his companies recent overhaul on retail store experience.
As founders/CEOs we can often get stuck in our own ways.
Tunnel vision you could say.
We see what we want.
But that doesn’t matter if it’s not what our customers want.
We aren’t the ones we need to convince to buy our products.
Take a step back.
Step into your customer’s (or prospect’s) shoes.
Look at yourself from the outside.
You might find some changes are in store.
If there’s one key takeaway I can offer here:
Become customer-centric.
