Show, Don't Tell

Actions speak louder than words.

The list goes on.

I hear these platitudes all the time.

Most of the time I think “oh cool…whatever.”

But not today.

I read this by Shaun Johnson (cofounder and COO of Startup Institute):

“‘Show, don't tell’ is a dynamic axiom, but it's such a good one.”

It got me thinking. Platitudes are what they are for a reason. There is truth there.

It’s good because it’s dynamic.

There are many applications of the concept.

Rather than list out a bunch of boring bullet points.

I’ll let you do the thinking this time.

How can you “show, don’t tell” today?

It can be in your business, your day-to-day life, picking up takeout for dinner, going to the dog park, anything.

How can you let your actions speak for your character?
