One, two... That's it

Your business only needs 2 things.

“What?!” you ask. I know the thousands of blogs titled some variation of “15 things your business needs to succeed” tell you otherwise.

But they’re wrong.

Groove founder Alex Turnbull breaks it down nice and simple for us. We need to:

  1. Deliver value

  2. Profit from it

That’s really all a business is when you boil it down.

You create something people find valuable and they pay you more than it took you to create it.

Pretty simple.

A lot easier said than done, but simple.

Where I get it wrong (and perhaps you do to) is spending too much time on those 13 (plus) other things.

Focus is your friend, especially at the start.

Every to-do you set needs to point back to these two core principles.

If it doesn’t, mark it out. It can wait.
