Minor Setback, Mega Comeback
Hey all — it’s Caleb 👋
It’s been a construction zone around The Catalyst lately. Don’t worry, I’m wearing my hard hat.
Updates and adjustments are right around the corner.
As a part of that, I’d really appreciate you responding to the poll in my P.S.
(It only takes one click).
Minor Setback, Major Comeback
This is the paradox of progress.
Not sure if that’s a real thing so I just made it up to illustrate my point.
I often have this vision of progress in my head: a straight line shooting upward fast, no down ticks, only up.
I’m talking early 2021 Bitcoin type graph. To the moon.
And of course that’s completely wrong.
Realizing this is nothing new. We all know that making progress like that is impossible long term.
Heck even Bitcoin has had ups and downs since then.
But I want to step away from a generic “keep going you got this!” encouragement.
Because something I read from Tammy Sons (TN Nursery founder) really struck me.
In talking about dealing with minor setbacks, she say “this is a pivotal moment for a new entrepreneur.”
A pivotal moment.
Anyone can push through a setback. Big deal.
But what sets a successful entrepreneur apart is that shift in mindset at the time of the setback.
The resolution to not give up because what they’re building is so worth it.
Don’t just push through a minor setback and that be the end of it.
Find your reason for doing it again. And again. And again.
Then make a mega comeback.
