Happy Friday—I sure am glad it’s finally here…

No big plans for me this weekend just some good old fashioned relaxation.

The coolest part about social media for me?

Getting to watch other entrepreneurs grow in real time.

Following their journey.

Especially on TikTok—I’ve come across some incredible entrepreneurs.

One of those being Marcus Milione. He’s building Minted New York, a fashion brand out of, you guessed it, the Big Apple.

I started following Marcus when he was sourcing his first samples (not to flex but I’m kind of an OG).

I’ve since watched him build an awesome brand, design super cool clothes (which I own some of), and collaborate with big names in fashion.

With all of this he started a podcast.

In true entrepreneurial spirit I might add.

I recently watched one of his original episodes.

At one point he’s answering a question about reading—big deal, we know reading is good for you, nothing new there.

But he goes beyond just reading.

“Glean something from the written word,” he says.

I’ve never heard it phrased like that. But I liked it.

Learning and applying is where reading becomes useful.

Next time you read, read to glean.
